Firefighters rush to fire at nature reserve near Romsey
At 5.05pm on Monday, crews from Romsey and Eastleigh were alerted to a fire spanning 25 square metres in Emer Bog, Pound Lane, Ampfield.
A tweet from Romsey Fire Station on Monday revealed there were multiple spots where the fire started, with youths reported "fleeing the area". The tweet added firefighters from Eastleigh helped extinguish the fire with their Land Rover. The stop message came in at 6.14pm after the vegetation and fern fire was put out.
